The Origin Story
Experience the Magic of Shea Butter ✨
Lina’s Essences. Born in Ghana. Created in the UK.

At 18, I took the first step into rediscovering myself with a “big chop” after so many years of various hair treatments. Understanding my hair meant stripping back, removing the toxins, and realising the simple things all around me that I had taken for granted; shea butter being one of them. My great grandmother believed in the healing properties of shea butter and would use it on our skin & hair, a common practice in West Africa.
Shea butter has incredible holistic benefits; it is a true skincare powerhouse packed with vitamins, antioxidants and nourishing properties. It provides deep moisturisation to all skin and hair types.
My journey towards achieving healthier hair, skin and overall wellness inspired me to develop simple, clean and nutrient rich products that everyone can enjoy.

It is a luxurious experience I am sure your hair and skin will appreciate.
Truly Clean & Nature Inspired

We take pride in the ingredients that we use in our products. Our aim is to keep our mixtures simple, natural and sustainable so that you (and your skin) can have nourishing skin care without the harsh chemicals.

The base for most of our products is shea butter which we ethically source from Ghana. This means it is not refined in any way and retains its skin regenerating and moisturising properties! For everything else we procure from the UK to limit the impact we have on the environment.

Even though shea butter is at the heart of what we do, we also use a range of ethically sourced natural oils and butters. We love:
-Coco Butter
-Vitamin E Oil
-Jojoba Oil
-Essential Fragrance Oils

Note: Vitamin E oil which helps dry skin and protect against sun damage, Jojoba oil which has anit-inflammatory properties and cocoa butter can even help in the battle against wrinkles.
